On July 1, 2025, EA officially released The Sims 4’s new patch update 1.116.202 for Planting Seeds of Enchantment. This update fixes several bugs and comes with improvements in the base game. Several new features are introduced with the New Household Collections Interface. The update size is 3.5 GB, and is now available at EA’s official app.
With the release of this update, some mods will not work, so I recommend downloading the latest versions from the official creator’s page.

Patch Notes
This update prepares for the upcoming Enhanted by Nature expansion pack that will be available from July 10. Today’s update comes with several serious bugs fixed and improvements that will add a new shine to the base game.
Whatโs New inย The Sims 4?
Inventory
If your Sims’ inventories have ever resembled the inside of a junk drawer, overflowing and completely unmanageable, youโll be thrilled with this update. You can now sort inventory by New, Price, Filter, Crafted Quality, and Rarity, which applies not only to Sims but also to fridges, bookcases, and storage objects.
But my favorite part? Spoiled food is now grouped and highlighted in red, complete with a trash icon. This is the kind of tiny fix that makes daily gameplay less tedious. No more clicking through 20 moldy grilled cheese sandwiches to find that one fresh apple.
Notebook
I used to ignore the Notebook. Honestly, it felt clunky and too limited. Thatโs changed.
The new Notebook has a cleaner layout, category pages, back button navigation, and even discovery badges for new info. You can also jump straight to Household Collections and Sim Stats, which makes it far more useful. Itโs not groundbreaking, but it makes the game smoother and helps with immersion, especially if you enjoy gardening or crafting.

Household Collections
This one feels like a love letter to the completionists out there. The revamped Household Collections interface now shows categories with icons, progress rings, and sort/filter options like โRarityโ and โMissing.โ
The cherry on top? You can access collections straight from the Simโs inventory or the notebook. Itโs a small change, but it makes tracking frogs, crystals, or MySims trophies much easier.
Build Mode
Simmers who love building will appreciate the new Glass Walls, which complement the Glass Roofs we already have. Itโs a welcome expansion for modern or greenhouse-style builds. And yes, plants on roofs are now officially a thing. You can place shrubs and flowers on rooftops, finally adding that Pinterest-level realism weโve been craving.
Bug Fixes
- The weather now stays outside, which is great news for anyone whoโs had rain falling inside their luxury penthouse.
- Stretchy child glitch while picking up a violin? Gone. That one always weirded me out.
- False romance rumors in Neighborhood Stories were fixed, which should make those storylines a little more believable.
- You can now take selfies with Flower Bunny, Bonehilda, and even Batuu Sims, because why not?
- Grafting no longer consumes your entire inventory of shoots; gardeners, rejoice.
