Krafton and Tencent Games are bringing a new type of content to PUBG Mobile for its users. The 4.1 update will feature Penguin City near the Novorepheye bridge and the Shooting Range. Furthermore, some changes have been made in the Erangle map, and some new features and items have been added to make the game more realistic. This highly anticipated PUBG 4.1 update is expected to be released on November 5, 2025. Further details regarding this are provided in the section below.
These features and items will also be included in the BGMI but the release date is different. You can expect to receive at the end of the second week of November.
When will PUBG release the 4.1 Update?
PUBG usually rolls out the next version after 2 months, but this time, things are slightly different. PUBG has delayed the 4.1 beta version by about a week. The team released the first testing phase on October 10, 2025, while the final phase will end on November 4, 2025. Because of this delay, PUBG will release the next update on November 5. Officials have not yet confirmed this date, but based on previous history, there are high chances that it will be correct. Let’s check out what’s coming next.
New Theme Mode and Features
Here are some features of this version.
Theme Mode
The new Theme Mode Frosty Funland will replace Spooky Soiree in Erangle. In this mode, there will be two main areas, Penguinville and Penguin Towns.
- Penguinville: A cute, snow city established by the penguins through hard work and dedication.
- Penguin Towns: Small towns built by the penguins when they first arrived. They serve as transit hubs to their homeland, and are also where they resided before Penguinville was completed. Many have stayed behind to protect and maintain them, so they remain quite lively.
In Penguinville, the main attraction is the two big statues of the Penguin. You can go inside it, loot the items, and even camp at the top of it. At the center of this, there is a main crate that will open with a celebration like an opening ceremony. It will give you level 3 loot with special theme items such as Salted Fish Rocket Launchers and Swordfish Syrings.
The Salted Fish Rocket Launcher will be equipped in the Pistol slot. As you click on it, the play will hold it on its shoulders. There are three main features of this: The first one is the basic rocket launcher form, which will fire exploding projectiles that will give damage to enemies and form patches of ice on the ground. If anyone moves on this, it will start slipping, and his guns will go in.
The second feature is the Flame Launcher skill that you can use as a vehicle. This will propel your player forward, and flames will come out from behind this launcher. To use this skill, press the button that appears on your screen as you equipped it.
There are three flying states of this rocket launcher: ground, low altitude, and high altitude. Swipe up and down to switch between them.
Swordfish Syrings
It is a healing syringe that recovers your health and gives you a temporary speed boost. Most people will think Why is this special? Here is the answer: You can throw it towards your teammate instead of dropping it. If your partner is knocked, it acts like a self-revive. So, if the enemies are around you and you do not want to take a risk, just use this Swordfish Syringe.
Classic Improvements
Apart from the themed items, PUBG has added some new features in the classic mode, and Erangle has received some new stuff.
PUBG has introduced a new Lift the Dead crate feature in all maps that allows you to pick up the enemy’s dead crate and move it anywhere. Unfortunately, you cannot put this into the vehicle, but if the crate is in open areas where there is no cover, you can pick it up and put it in a safe place.
PUBG has completely revamped the Rozok Water City. Now it features Warehouses, large cranes, fishing boats, and a completely new look. This is also permanent, like the last season, when PUBG turned Lipovka into a Modern Park.
PUBG has also made some adjustments in the firearms; there are some changes in 120 FPS, and you will see some new stuff in the next update. Until now, you can test them in the 4.1 beta version.
