Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is a dedicated version of PUBG created specifically for Indian players. Since its game files are different from other versions, the release dates also vary. Typically, developers roll out BGMI updates about a week later than PUBG Global, KR, VN, and TW versions.
With the 4.0 update approaching, players are eager to know when it will arrive on the Play Store and App Store. Based on the pattern of past releases, the BGMI 4.0 update is expected to launch on September 11, 2025. More details about the upcoming version are shared in the next section.
Now Officially Confirmed that the update will rollout in September 11 at 7:30 AM.
About BGMI
BGMI is a multiplayer battle royale game developed by Krafton and released in July 2021. It was launched as a replacement for PUBG Mobile after the Indian government banned the game in September 2020. Since this version is tailored for Indian players, they get access to local events, outfits, and rewards. While some features are slightly different from the global version, the theme modes and classic maps remain the same.
What is the BGMI 4.0 Update Release Date?
Krafton has not shared the exact release date, but based on previous release history, this update is expected to arrive on September 11, 2025. As we revealed earlier, the update will feature Ghost Theme Mode, Performing Dead Concert, and Mortar. Along with these time-limited features, Lipovka city in Erangel will be completely transformed into a modern park.
BGMI 4.0 Update Theme Mode
The 4.0 update will feature the Spooky Soiree theme mode, full of ghosts and magical powers. Below is the full detail:
Wraithmoor Mansion (hotdrop)
The new theme mode features Wraithmoor Mansion, a massive haunted landmark with unique zones such as a botanical garden, labyrinth, memorial site, and cultivation area. At its center is a magic mirror that can reward you with level 3 loot, giving you a competitive edge over enemies.
Ghostie
Ghostie will be tied to the player like a companion, but it works very differently. You’ll find various powers scattered randomly across the map, and when combined, Ghostie unlocks special abilities. If you get eliminated, you can transform into a ghost or a wall to protect your teammate. Keep in mind, the wall lasts for about one minute.
